HOUSEBUILDER LAUNCHES FIRST SHOW HOMES AT POPULAR LINMERE DEVELOPMENT

As research by Zoopla reveals that demand for three and four-bedroom properties has rocketed over recent weeks*, local housebuilder Barratt Homes is helping to meet demand from buyers in Houghton Regis. The housebuilder recently unveiled the first show homes at its Barratt Homes at Linmere development in Houghton Regis, Bedfordshire. Local buyers will now be able to make an appointment with a member of the sales team to view either of the two show homes.

Barratt Homes at Linmere launched off-plan in November, offering an initial selection of three and four-bedroom homes. Visitors to the development will now be able to view first-hand the three-bedroom Norbury and four-bedroom Woodcote, both of which are available to buy at the development. The show homes have been designed by Artspace Interiors, offering a classic contemporary scheme.

Lydia Graham, Client Service Manager at Artspace Interiors, comments: “The Norbury has been designed with first time buyers in mind, using a relaxed colour palette of blues and oranges complimented by tans and mustards. The interiors in this home are bold and different to represent a younger, more social demographic. We have also utilised the third bedroom to be a multi-functional space that can be used as the office and also as an extra space to relax.

“The Woodcote has a slightly more sophisticated design, with a fresh colour palette of crisp greens paired with warm nudes to appeal to families. We accessorised with glass and gold furniture to keep the scheme feeling light and bright, with soft wood added in to warm it up. Our favourite room in this show home is the sheep-themed children’s bedroom which was an opportunity to get creative and use fun accessories and cushions.”

Barratt Homes at Linmere will initially deliver 307 new one to four-bedroom homes, forming part of the wider Linmere scheme which will see 5,150 new homes delivered alongside an extensive range of community facilities, including retail units, schools and green open spaces. A number of new homes through Barratt are eligible under the new Help to Buy scheme, meaning first time buyers can get onto the property ladder with a low five per cent deposit.

Karly Williams, Sales and Marketing Director at Barratt North Thames, comments: “We have worked closely with Artspace to deliver two unique show homes that demonstrate the versatility of our three and four-bedroom homes, whether you are a first time buyer planning to work from home, or a family in need of more space for the children. Since launching off-plan in January, the development has proven popular so we are excited to finally open the doors to our show homes and welcome buyers to view the new homes in-person.”

Currently available with Barratt Homes at Linmere is a collection of one and two-bedroom apartments available through Home Reach, a Part-Buy Part-Rent scheme with heylo, alongside a range of three and four-bedroom homes, many of which are available through Help to Buy for first time buyers only.
