Supergrass will be one of the headline acts at DevaFest 2027, organisers have announced.
The band, famous for their classic hits “Alright”, “Moving”, “Pumping on Your Stereo” and “Caught by the Fuzz”, are the first band to be confirmed at the popular music festival at Cholmondeley Castle.
Additional names of acts set to perform will be announed in the comings days and weeks.
DevaFest founder Phil Marston said:
“We’re absolutely delighted to announce Supergrass as one of our first confirmed headline acts for DevaFest 2027.
“Supergrass are indie royalty and one of the UK’s best-loved bands, and we can’t wait to welcome them to what promises to be an incredible event next summer.
“Make no mistake, DevaFest will be the biggest and best place to be in the North West from August 5 to 8 next year.”
The 2026 edition was the festival’s biggest and most ambitious to date, featuring a stellar line-up of headline and major acts, including Jessie J, Ronan Keating, James Morrison, Ash, Vengaboys and Symphonic Ibiza.
The festival generated an estimated £3.5 million for the Cheshire economy in 2026, as the record-breaking four-day event welcomed up to 10,000 festivalgoers per day to Cholmondeley Castle.
Steven Hesketh, the co-founder of DevaFest and the CEO of events specialists Savvy Collective, said Supergrass is the first of many announcements expected in the coming weeks.
“Next year’s event is already shaping up to be our biggest and best DevaFest yet,” said Mr Hesketh.
“Supergrass will be one of many highlights, and we’re looking forward to revealing more exciting names over the coming weeks and months.”
DevaFest will take place on August 5 to 8th next year inside the grounds of Cholmondeley Castle, near Malpas.
It has established itself as one of the North West’s leading independent festivals.
It is the UK’s only major family-friendly festival with fairground rides included in the ticket price, and offers six stages of live music and comedy, with camping, glamping and day ticket options.
The 2026 festival sold out in July, and the event has twice been named Event or Festival of the Year at the Marketing Cheshire Tourism Awards, winning in 2025 and retaining the title in 2026. National Geographic also listed it among the best UK festivals for families in both years.
Alongside the music, festivalgoers can enjoy hand-picked local street food, well-stocked bars, circus performances and a programme of pre-bookable experiences, including wellbeing sessions, water sports, afternoon tea at Alice’s Parlour and a “Be a Mermaid” experience.
The festival is also dog friendly, with dogs welcome free of charge on a lead, while premium toilets come as standard in the festival field.
Sixty per cent of camping is already sold out for the 2027 event, and organisers have urged those interested to plan ahead and book early.
Organisers say the focus on a safe, relaxed atmosphere is why so many guests return year after year, with families at the heart of the event.
