Inside Alzheimers Dementia Support’s Annual Sponsored Santa Fun Run 2017

On Sunday 26th November, at Dorney Lake Eton Dorney, Taplow more than 40 local volunteers will assist the local charity, Alzheimers Dementia Support (‘ADS’) to host its annual fundraising event.

It is hoped that in excess of 500 participants will run or walk the 5km course ensuring that , once again, the event is filled with lots of ‘fun and laughter’. Everyone participating will be dressed in Santa suits (including babes in buggies and dog’s on leads).

The huge efforts made by all runners, walkers and wheelers will hopefully raise much needed funds for the local charity which; “Will be spent, to support the needs of People living with Dementia, their Carers and Families, in our local Communities”, said David Jannetta (the Charity’s Voluntary Chairman).

‘ADS’ is given sponsorship monies and practical support from local businesses, David explained, ‘Without the support and funding given by our Key Sponsor; Mortgage Required and the events’ Main Support Sponsor, Hale and Company the charity would not be in a position to host the fun-filled annual event.

Alzheimers Dementia Support (‘ADS”) currently ‘touches the lives’ of approximately 1,000 people living with Dementia in Windsor, Ascot, Maidenhead, Slough and Langley (and all points in between and surrounding) and depends on the support and monies given.
