JAMES AND SARAH REVEALED AS THE UK’S CLUMSIEST NAMES

by Matt Martino

Do you know a butterfingers named James? Or an uncoordinated Sarah? New data revealed by tech repair specialist iSmash, uncovers the clumsy truth behind the UK’s rising need for phone repairs. Using internal data from its stores, iSmash ranked the clumsiest men and women according to their first names – with James and Sarah coming out on top.

Data collected from over 25,000 phone repairs carried out across the UK in the past three months has shown that James and Sarah are the most likely names to damage their handsets. The data also revealed that city slickers perhaps aren’t so slick when it comes to looking after their phone, with the most phones being repaired at London stores.

Following Sarah, the women most likely to be seen picking up the pieces are Emma, Laura and Charlotte. Don’t be surprised if you see David, Paul and Mark donning a broken screen either as they come close behind James. Martin’s and Katie’s can sleep soundly knowing they won’t be needing a repair any time soon, as they landed bottom of the top 30 list.

The data also suggests that iPhones take the top nine places for the most frequently repaired phones, followed closely by the Samsung.

Julian Shovlin, founder of iSmash, added: “James and Sarah, we have your back. Thankfully, if you do break your device, iSmash will repair it swiftly and safely to ensure you’re not without your phone for too long!”

We carried out the research to see if there was any correlation between names and phone breakages, with the results suggesting that certain names have less luck than others. Damaging your phone is always inconvenient and if your name is on the list, I would suggest buying a case to help save you from future breakages. Thankfully, if you do break your device, there are trusted stores out there that can get your device repaired swiftly and safely, leaving you with minimal downtime, no matter how clumsy you are.”
