Jermyn Street announces festive market, 10th December

Twinkling lights, live music, stilt walkers, craft workshops and a festive street food market will bring festive cheer to historic Jermyn Street on Saturday 10th December as the street is closed to traffic for a one-of-a-kind enchanting shopping experience.

Running south of Piccadilly, Jermyn Street has a worldwide reputation for high quality British artistry and craftsmanship. The outdoor event will offer visitors a dazzling festive experience for one day only as the pedestrianised street metamorphosises into an other-worldly circus inspired experience. Theatrical performers, Gospel singers, dancefloor-filling DJs, mirrored Ballerinas and LED Jugglers will animate every corner.

Friends, families and loved ones can savour the moment inside a giant snow globe[HA3] , providing the perfect holiday backdrop to seasonal selfies. Adults and children alike can get crafty with a local artist who will personalise Christmas baubles as a lasting keepsake in partnership with Art of London[HA4] .

Visitors looking for warming winter food will be invited to feast at a KERB curated street food market, further details to be announced in due course. For those partial to indulging in a festive tipple, world renowned English Sparkling Wine Nyetimber will be popping the corks from their iconic Routemaster bus which will be stationed on the street for the day.[HA5]

Throughout the day and into the evening, Jermyn Street retailers, restaurants and galleries will get involved, showcasing the best of their latest collections, menus and offering additional incentives for customers. Fortnum and Mason will serve tea and cakes from their brilliantly coloured Tuk Tuk, British clothing retailer Sunspel will extend their opening hours and offer festive cocktails in store, and 3812 Gallery and Old Spike Coffee will come together for a pop-up event hosted in the gallery space.

The Lone Design Club in partnership with The Crown Estate has also returned to St James’s with a festive pop-up, open until 24th December. The store will host a Christmas Gift Concierge event, inviting visitors to join them at ‘The Season of Wonder’ pop-up store and discover the sustainability-conscious, independent brands of this exciting festive edit with the help of experts. Visitors to the event can enjoy the breath-taking canopy of glistening lights so synonymous to Regent Street and St James’s ‘The Spirit of Christmas’ which soar high in the sky, a free festive attraction for all to celebrate the Christmas period.
