JYSK in the UK has delivered record results for the financial year 2017/2018

With an increase in both turnover and customer numbers, JYSK in the UK has delivered record results for the financial year 2017/2018.

A growing number of customers in the UK are choosing the Scandinavian retail chain JYSK when they go shopping for items within sleeping and living.

As a result, JYSK in the UK has delivered the company’s best results ever with turnover increasing by 21.5%, compared to the previous year.

David Ashton, Country Manager, said;

“The UK retail market has experienced a troubling period during the past year, caused by both market and consumer uncertainty. What has been refreshing here at JYSK is that we have performed the opposite to the majority of the market; we have now posted seventeen months of consecutive growth. However, we have to fight harder than ever before to attract customers to our stores, where we can showcase them our great offers – thanks to our huge global buying power.”

Their 2017/18 growth was achieved by the like-for-like sales increases in the key categories of Furniture (23.7% increase), Mattresses (29.2%) and Garden (21.35).
