KIm Woodburn on Matt Hancock and why she’s sorry for feud with Aggie.

TV PERSONALITY Kim Woodburn has slammed former Health Secretary Matt Hancock for his decision to take part on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity…Get me Out of Here.

Speaking to Mark Dolan on GB News, former Jungle star Kim said that although anyone had a right to appear on the programme, his position as a serving MP meant it was an inappropriate step.

She said: “He has a constituency. You see you can’t let people down. That’s exactly what he’s done.

“His constituency in Suffolk is right now going through two very serious situations, and the people in Suffolk are very worried.

“One is the fact that they’re thinking of canceling a bus service. And a lot of people who desperately rely on it will be crippled without it.

“And secondly, many farmers in Suffolk are under threat of losing their farms, they’re going to purchase them by compulsory purchase. And they’re so worried.

“Now they’ve appealed to him [Matt Hancock] on two very serious things, their livelihood, their families, and he is supposed to be sorting it out.

“Now how can he meet his constituents when he’s gone into the jungle for three weeks?”

Discussing her own stint in the I’m A Celebrity jungle in 2009, Kim explained: “What you see is what you get. The only thing I found, and I find it every series I watch, is the way they all constantly moan about being hungry.

“You didn’t hear me moan about it once and I’m a big woman, I eat and I’m five foot 10 and eat like a horse.

“But you know you never heard me moan because they give you enough to live on. You’re peckish, but you’re not starving.

“But everyone in that jungle, You’ll hear it, you’ll hear it start saying: ‘Oh, I’m hungry, I can’t go on’. Oh, don’t talk tripe, you are peckish but to say you’re starving!”

The 80-year-old star also touched upon her feud with previous co-star Aggie MacKenzie, who she starred alongside in How Clean is Your House from 2003 to 2009.

Kim explained: “I very rarely discussed that and I’m going to tell you why.

“I think it’s because I never say anything. Of course we fell out. And since we fell out and Aggie’s written a few columns about it, which I would never do about Aggie, but I’ll tell you why I wouldn’t.

“For six years she was marvelous in that show with me. Thank you very much Aggie, we made a few bob and it’s great to have a few bucks in your pocket.

“And I thank her as well. She had to be good as well to make it work. And so I say I’m sorry we fell out.

“I’m not prepared to discuss it like she does because I wish her all the luck in the world.”
