King Charles won’t allow Royal Family to be trashed by Harry and Meghan.

KING Charles will show his “ruthless side” if Harry and Meghan trash the reputation of the Royal family, an expert has said.

Katie Nicholl, the Royal Editor of Vanity Fair, spoke out amid reports Netflix were delaying a documentary the pair have made following a backlash.

She told Isabel Webster and Paul Hawkins on GB News: “We could be prepared to see the King’s ruthless side in all of this. He’s not going to stand back and let the family or the institution or the reputation of the Crown, which is everything to him be tarnished or indeed trashed.

Detailing how this might play out she added: “ I think that whole issue of titles is up for discussion. That trust, that respect has to be earned. I don’t think they’re going to get those titles if they are seen to be tarnishing the institution. And I think perhaps, there might be a question mark over the future home maintenance titles, potentially, if they all seem to be deliberately tarnishing the reputation of the monarchy.”

Commenting on the growing furore over the upcoming series of The Crown, Katie added: “I think that Netflix potentially has been rather spooked by this media backlash over the new series because again, some of these storylines are so close to the bone. They are inevitably going to be quite damaging for the Royal family.”

Ms Nicholl’s comments come in the wake of reports the next series of The Crown has been delayed.
The streaming giant has faced backlash over the upcoming season.
And it has been reported the Duke and Duchess of Sussex wanted to make edits following the Queen’s death.

On Monday the respected US website Deadline stated the expected December airing of the couple’s documentary has been pushed back into next year.
A source said: “They are rattled at Netflix, and they blinked first and decided to postpone the documentary.”

The couple’s docu-series did not have an official release date initially, but multiple sources said it was to due to drop before Christmas – about a month after the premiere of the fifth season of The Crown.

It was claimed at the weekend they were issues after producers allegedly had concerns with comments Harry, 38, and Meghan, 41, made that appeared to contradict what he wrote in his upcoming memoir.

The delay comes after Sir John Major hit out at The Crown over showing King Charles – then Prince Charles – telling the then Prime Minister that the Queen should abdicate.

Sir John claims the conversation never took place and described it as “malicious nonsense”.

The former Prime Minister’s spokesman said: “Sir John has not co-operated – in any way – with The Crown.”
