LENA DUNHAM JOINS THE SOLD OUT LATITUDE FESTIVAL BILL

In a Latitude exclusive,  American actress, writer, director, and producer Lena Dunham has been confirmed as the guest for a live recording of Talk Art, a podcast dedicated to the world of art hosted by actor Russell Tovey and gallerist Robert Diament. Also joining them will be Deborah Frances-White.

Dunham is no stranger to the art-world.  Earlier this year she painted a collection of watercolours as part of a exhibition called “Xplodir”. She will discuss art and creativity with Russell and Robert in this explosive live Latitude podcast.

Lena’s parents are contemporary artists Carroll Dunham and Laurie Simmons,  she first shared Instagram photos of her artwork  earlier this year with the caption: “I’m coming out of the closet as a passionate watercolour hobbyist, one whose favourite subjects are complicated women.” She listed Mariah Carey, Mia Farrow, Kate Moss and New York painters Grace Hartigan, Helen Frankenthakrr as some of her “complicated” muses.

Lena Dunham is in the UK this summer directing a new HBO series and takes a break from filming to attend Latitude. Dunham is working with Welsh production company Bad Wolf as she directs and produces a new series called Industry. The show will follow a group of young graduates as they navigate the cut-throat world of banking.
