Liam Payne may be British but he couldn’t resist giving girlfriend Cheryl a special shout out on US Mother’s Day.

The One Direction star was over in the US making his first red carpet appearance since the birth of son Bear, when he took to social media to lavish praise on his other half.

Liam, 23, marked the US occasion with a rather sweet message posted to Instagram which read: “Happy Mother’s Day America and to my two very special ladies mum and Cheryl. I love you both very much.”
