Barratt Homes has recently confirmed its partnership with Basingstoke Festival, with the housebuilder being named as a supporting sponsor for the Pictures in the Park event. The outdoor cinema is a much-loved part of the Festival, which is due to take place between Thursday 8 July and Sunday 11 July in the Walled Garden at Down Grange in Basingstoke.

The annual Basingstoke Festival showcases the best of both local and international art, including music and dance performances, open air theatrical productions, creative workshops and much more.

Bringing this year’s festival to a close, the highly anticipated Pictures in the Park will see three days of outdoor cinema screenings with a fantastic line-up of popular film titles including Frozen 2, Back to the Future and The Greatest Showman. The screenings will be hosted with both afternoon and evening screenings so all ages can enjoy the festivities.

Lynnette St-Quintin, Sales and Marketing Director for Barratt Southern Counties, said: “We are pleased to help bring back the popular outdoor cinema this summer for the community to enjoy after its absence last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We look forward to welcoming the public to the festival and enjoying the other events in the summer programme.”

Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council’s Arts and Events Manager Ross Harvie said: “We have a fantastic programme of film favourites lined up at Pictures in the Park and are looking forward to seeing friends and families getting together to enjoy this wonderful outdoor cinema experience. Thank you to Barratt Homes for helping to support this popular event as part of the wider Basingstoke Festival programme.”
