LOCAL HOUSEBUILDER SUPPORTS HAYWARDS HEATH FOODBANK WITH EASTER EGG DONATION

Local housebuilder Barratt Homes, who is behind the Wychwood Park development on Rocky Lane in Haywards Heath, has teamed up with Haywards Heath Foodbank this Easter to provide chocolate eggs and alternatives for families in the run up to the bank holiday weekend.

In a normal month, Haywards Heath Foodbank supports 400-500 local residents, as more members of the community turn to the foodbank for support during lockdown. Barratt Southern Counties’ donation will be used to provide Easter treats for local families and residents to enjoy, and will be an addition to the coming week’s food parcel deliveries.

Heather – Project Coordinator at Haywards Heath Foodbank, comments: “Over the past year, an increasing number of local residents have relied on our foodbank each week to provide them with the essentials. Support from local businesses like Barratt Southern Counties go a long way and means that we can provide our community with seasonal treats in addition to their usual food parcel.”

Lynnette St-Quintin, Sales Director for Barratt Southern Counties, comments: “Many individuals and families have been hit hard with food poverty during the pandemic. Community initiatives like the Haywards Heath Foodbank are a lifeline for vulnerable families and individuals, and we are proud to work with the organisation to provide an Easter treat for local people this spring.”

Barratt Southern Counties is currently building its Wychwood Park development, where a range of three, four and five-bedroom homes are available with prices starting from £379,995.
