New research has revealed the UK’s most nerve-wracking driving test centres, with learners having more luck passing north of the border.

The study by UK CBD brand BROWN’S CBD analysed the official GOV.UK stats from April to September 2024 to identify where learners have the best shot at success across Britain.

Featherstone in England sits at the bottom of the rankings as the UK’s toughest test centre with a 33.85% pass rate, meaning two-thirds of candidates went without a full licence.

The high-volume centre processed 7,741 tests during the period studied.

Wolverhampton ranks second-worst with just 33.92% of learners passing from 6,345 tests.

London centres feature heavily among the toughest locations to pass, with Chingford seeing only 35.81% of learners pass from 6,830 tests.

Belvedere in London closes the bottom five with a 37.43% success rate from 2,303 tests.

Barking, which is also in London, ranked tenth from the bottom, with 38.12% of learners passing from 3,801 tests.
