MAKE THIS HALF-TERM BRILLIANT AT SKEGNESS

School’s nearly out, so it’s time to start planning for a fun getaway or day out with the kids that is guaranteed to, not only bring a smile to the whole families’ faces but, also make this half-term one to remember.

Family-favourite venues, Skegness Pier and Fantasy Island, are bringing the fun all year round but even more so this year as they both launched a large range of thrilling new rides and attractions this spring. So, whether the family is visiting for the day, the weekend or a little bit longer, there’s plenty of entertaining activities to enjoy this half-term.

SKEGNESS PIER

Kids of all ages, and those young at heart, can enjoy the exciting activities on offer at popular Skegness Pier this half-term. From bowling to laser quest to escape rooms, there’s so much for the family to do, they’ll never want to leave.

Families will also be thrilled to discover three new attractions on offer at Skegness Pier – a unique climbing centre, a fashionable beach bar which overlooks the stunning seaside coast and a competitive children’s soft play game which is expected to open in June.

There’s fun for every member of the family at the new exhilarating climbing centre, Clip ‘n Climb, which offers 14 different climbing walls and more for adrenaline-seekers to indulge in.

Players will be able to challenge themselves on the ‘Leap of Faith’ which sees adults and children climbing up a large central pole and onto a jump platform, before leaping out to catch hold of a trapeze – this one is only for the brave.

In addition to Clip ‘n Climb, Skegness Pier is set to introduce the soft play activity, Hero Zone this June, which will see children battling with friends by firing targets to win. And just because school is out doesn’t mean learning is too, as little ones will not only discover new ways of having fun at Hero Zone, but they will also improve key skills such as co-ordination and relationship building.

For when the family needs to relax and unwind after a full day of fun activities, Skegness Pier has launched a stunning seaside bar, Playa at the Pier, which is located on the beach front.

Playa at the Pier is the perfect location to grab a cocktail or juice this summer. Visitors will be able to sit back and watch the sun set in chic pool pods with a range of fantastic live entertainment. Not only does the beach bar offer a taste of international travel without the hassle of going overseas, but it is the perfect location to spend quality time with the family.

FANTASY ISLAND

Just a stone’s throw away from the famous Skegness Pier, is Fantasy Island. Home to Europe’s largest seven-day market, the theme park offers a huge range of exhilarating rollercoasters and attractions.

Described as one of the best places to visit, the theme park offers an extensive range of thrilling rides and attractions fit for all the family.

Fantasy Island has added the Spinning Racer ride to its outdoor offerings this year which offers accelerated spins, uncontrollable belly laughs, and extreme thrills. Plus, a variety of indoor attractions will be opening this summer including Harrington Flint’s Island Adventure’s and the exhilarating quest, The Guardian.

James Mellors, Operations Director at Mellors Group, said: “The past year has been tough for everyone, so we’re really excited for everyone to see the amazing new improvements we’ve made to both Skegness Pier and Fantasy Island.

“We’re happy to welcome back families again this half-term for both parents and kids to safely enjoy – restoring a sense of normality to our amazing seaside town once again.”

Both Skegness Pier and Fantasy Island reopened fully in May and are currently operating in a fully Covid-19 safe and secure environment.
