MORE STUDENTS INVITED TO GO ‘SITE’ SEEING WITH OXFORDSHIRE HOUSEBUILDER

David Wilson Homes has continued to partner with Banbury and Bicester College after welcoming a second group of students to its development in Bodicote.

Having already invited half of the college’s Level 1 Carpentry course to its development The Pavilions, a second group of students have now received an insight into construction with the industry professionals.

The budding carpenters were introduced to the various trades on a new homes development and had the chance to meet with the experienced site team.

Alison Heath, Faculty Co-ordinator at Banbury and Bicester College, said: “We are really grateful to David Wilson Homes for providing our students with some real life experiences to visit a working site and gain insights into the industry. It is these types of employer engagement activities that allows students to explore the range of opportunities available to them in the future.”

The students will undoubtedly be thinking about their own careers as they continue with their course, and the outreach from David Wilson Homes has provided some valuable guidance ahead of one of the biggest choices of their young lives.

Dominic Harman, Managing Director at David Wilson Homes Mercia, said: “We were thrilled to welcome the second group of students from Banbury and Bicester College to our development, The Pavilions.
“We have an award-winning team in Bodicote and we hope the pupils took away some useful advice from the different trades onsite.

“We’re pleased to have given the students an insight into construction and we hope to continue such a strong working relationship with the college to provide further educational opportunities further down the line.”

Located on White Post Road, the development currently has a selection of two to five bedroom homes available with prices starting from £275,000.
