UTTOXETER MP GIVES SEAL OF APPROVAL TO HOMEBUILDER’S AWARD-WINNING TEAM

David Wilson Homes recently welcomed Member of Parliament for Burton and Uttoxeter, Kate Kniveton MP, for a development tour with its award-winning team in Staffordshire.

The leading homebuilder invited the constituency MP to visit its Olive Park development on Dowling Road and go behind the scenes alongside Managing Director, Dominic Harman, Site Managers Alex Price and Ollie Wardlaw and Sales Adviser, Karen Norcup.

Alex was recently commended with a Seal of Excellence award from the National House Building Council (NHBC) for his work on the Bentley Fields development, David Wilson Homes’ site on Sorrel Close, which has now sold out.

After having the chance to discuss the success of the former development, Kate was then introduced to Ollie, who has taken charge of the construction at Olive Park, the latest new homes community in the MP’s constituency.

Kate Kniveton MP said: “I was delighted to visit the Olive Park development in Uttoxeter following it being given a National House Building Council award in the Pride in the Job category.

“It was good to meet with Dominic, Alex and the team from David Wilson Homes, to see the houses they have constructed and hear about the effort that goes into ensuring they achieve a high completion standard.

“The NHBC awards are known within the industry as the Oscars of Housebuilding, and so they have done incredibly well to achieve this prestigious recognition. There are two further stages of these awards, and I want to wish Alex and his team the very best of luck!”

Olive Park has been well-received by homebuyers since it initially launched earlier in 2022, and the community of over 120 properties is fast becoming a sought-after setting for house hunters.

Accolades such as the Seal of Excellence awards rate Site Managers against key criteria such as technical expertise, health and safety, consistency, leadership and attention to detail. The awards celebrate the vital role Site Managers play in ensuring new homes are delivered on-time, on safe sites and to the highest quality standards.

This year, Barratt Developments’ Site Managers have won 98 Pride in the Job Quality awards and 34 Seal of Excellence awards, more than any other housebuilder.

Whilst being able to see the construction in progress at Olive Park first-hand, Kate was also given a tour of the furnished show homes at the development.

The tour was led by Karen, a Sales Adviser who’s been with David Wilson Homes since 2007, and an award-winner herself having been named Sales Adviser of the Year in 2019.
The range of homes available at the development includes a selection of two, three and four bedroom properties, ideal for a variety of prospective purchasers in Uttoxeter.
Dominic Harman said: “We were delighted to welcome Kate onto the site and discuss the success of our Bentley Fields development, and the growth of our Olive Park community. It was great to provide the opportunity to view the ongoing works and introduce Alex, one of our award-winning Site Managers.”
Homebuyers moving to the new community will have the benefit of being surrounded by beautiful green open space, whilst still being close to a wide range of useful amenities in Uttoxeter.
