My Big Fat Greek Terrace: HERA Revamps Summer Terrace
HERA, the luxury Greek restaurant and bar in Stratford, has officially launched their huge sun-dappled pergola-adorned terrace, now open for diners with a hunger for the Aegean coastline without leaving London.
With space for 80 – 100 covers seated, and up to 150 standing, HERA’s terrace is the hot new spot for sunny boozy lunches, long evening dinners, post-work cocktails and summer events, offering an unrivalled setting under the fruit and floral filled awning.
Indulge in classic Greek mezze, including Greek Olives and breads with an array of dips including Metlitzano Salata, Tzatziki, or Tirokafteri. Feeling hungry? Try HERA’s iconic Feta Saganaki – feta cheese wrapped in angel hair and drizzled with lemon honey – or their Seabass Carpaccio drizzled in yuzu, dill oil and topped with radish, crispy Calamari with aioli, or their Yellowfin Tuna, thinly sliced and dressed with mandarin ponzu for a fresh punch.
Bask under lush foliage, lemons and flora while enjoying some of HERA’s iconic main dishes, including their Grilled Lamb Chops with rosemary, Grilled Octopus with fava bean and pico de gallo, King Prawns with tomato and rosemary, or their Seafood Pasta, with calamari, prawns, clams and tomato sauce.
HERA also has an extensive range of unique cocktails, from signatures including the Helen of Spice (a twist on a spicy marg), Karpouzi Island (vodka, melon mix, mint and lime, with a jelly watermelon on the side) and Dates in Crete (rye whisky, banana, date, coffee).
A floral paradise, HERA’s terrace offers a lush escape, perfect for sunny lunches, post-work cocktails, exclusive parties, and unforgettable sunny evenings. Relax in the terrace with their cocktail hour, running 4pm – 7pm every weekday, where guests can choose from over 20 bespoke cocktails for just £8 a pop.
Located in the heart of Stratford Cross, HERA is a part of a new and exciting development which is fast becoming a new hub of East London. The restaurant is adjacent to the newly opened Everyman Cinema Stratford, minutes from the brand new Sadler’s Wells East, a stone’s throw from the ABBA Arena, and directly opposite the much anticipated V&A Museum which will open in Spring 2026, there are multiple reasons to visit.
