countryside of the Chiltern Hills aonb, by offering narrowboat hire for short breaks and

As the only company on this section of the Grand Union to offer overnight narrowboat hire,
we believe our customers get a one of a kind experience when they book with us. They can
visit the historic town of Berkhamsted, cruise through the english countryside along the foot
of the Chiltern Hills, get close to nature at Marsworth Reservoirs plus so much more that the
Chilterns has to offer.

And our boat is not your average hire boat! Our narrowboat is a 50ft traditional stern boat,
originally built by Liverpool Boats and recently refurbished so it’s completely unique.

Providing accommodation for 2-5 people, our narrowboat offers holidaymakers with lots of
home comforts including a cosy lounge with fuel burning stove and smart TV, a stunning
bathroom with full size shower, and a spacious, fully equipped kitchen along with separate
dining area.

Chiltern Canal Boat Holidays is a brand new family business, originally due to be launched in
2019. However, with lockdown hitting the UK just weeks after we bought our first boat, the
business was stopped before it even got started. Instead, we spent the year focussed on
getting the boat refurbished and building the business plan. Now that restrictions on UK
holidays have started to ease, we were excited to finally open for business in May 2021, and
we are really pleased that dates are already booking up for the summer months.
