New community complete at Berengrave Gardens in Rainham

All the Linden Homes properties at Vistry Group’s Berengrave Gardens location in the Kent town of Rainham have now been sold and construction has finished.

Vistry has built 139 homes on a site that was once home to Berengrave horticultural nursery, off Berengrave Lane.

Sales and marketing director of Vistry South East, Ginny James, said: “This location has proved to be an enormous success and very popular, with all homes now complete and sold.

“The mix of properties from two to five-bedroom designs attracted a range of buyers because they suited people at different stages of the house-buying journey.

“It is also a very convenient location with Rainham railway station less than a mile away and the town centre – with its shops, community facilities and pubs and places to eat – nearby.

“So, it is satisfying to see this space transformed and used to create a thriving community that goes towards meeting the local need for homes.”

Berengrave Gardens comprises 104 properties for private sale and 35 affordable homes available for local people through rent or shared ownership.

The design of the overall scheme includes a tree-lined boulevard, public open spaces including a pond, and a children’s play area with timber apparatus and a mini adventure trail. There are also footpaths and cycle paths connecting different parts of the location and linking it to the nearby open countryside.

Berengrave Gardens is generating around £400,000 in investment for services and infrastructure in the area – money from Vistry as part of its planning agreement for the scheme. This money is targeted at education from nursery to sixth form level.

Linden Homes is part of Vistry Group, which also includes Bovis Homes and Vistry Partnerships.

Vistry South East is building new homes across Sussex, Surrey and Kent. For more information about Linden Homes properties, visit lindenhomes.co.uk.
