NURSING HOME RECEIVES CARE PACKAGE FROM NORFOLK HOMEBUILDER

Meadow House Nursing Home in Swaffham has received a care package donation from housing developer Barratt Homes.

The donation to the care home, located close to the homebuilder’s Ceres Rise development on Norwich Road, included a mix of essential items and entertainment for its residents.

The care package was comprised of shower gels, bars of soap, boxes of chocolates, a jigsaw puzzle, a magnetic board game set and puzzle books to make for light-hearted recreation when needed, recognising the importance of social engagement within care settings. The donation also included a large pack of greetings cards for residents to use for keeping in touch with family and friends.

Joanna Jankowska – Home Manager, from Meadow House Nursing Home, said: “ Our residents are always interested to know what is going on in the Swaffham community and we are watching with interest the development at Ceres Rise. We were delighted to receive this thoughtful gift from Barratt Homes and are grateful for this kind gesture shown to our residents and staff.”-

Daniel Evans, Managing Director at Barratt Homes Cambridgeshire, said: “We wanted to show our support for key workers and the residents of care homes within our local communities.

“Our donation of a care package to Meadow House Care Home is a symbol of togetherness after a difficult few years, whilst letting the more vulnerable members of our community know they are in our thoughts.”
