Opportunities for Gifted Graduates at Notts Firm – Kybotech
Graduates returning to Nottinghamshire after completing their university studies can bag themselves a career with shed loads of opportunities with one of the county’s leading employers.
Kybotech, one of the UK’s biggest manufacturers of sheds and garden buildings, is on the hunt for more talented university leavers to join its graduate training programme.
The company, which operates from its own 20-acre site at the Dukeries Industrial Estate in Worksop, has already received hundreds of applications after launching the scheme four months ago.
It has recruited seven gifted graduates into the programme and has now announced plans to offer places to a further four university leavers.
But with fierce competition for the in-demand roles only the most highly qualified graduates are likely to succeed.
The chosen few will learn every aspect of the £23m a year turnover business with rotations across several departments including buying, marketing and finance.
The successful candidates will have the chance to learn from one of Nottinghamshire’s top business leaders, Kybotech CEO Charles Walton, who won Business Entrepreneur of the Year 2019 accolades from both the Chamber of Commerce and the Nottingham Post Business Awards this year.
Kybotech makes sheds and garden buildings under the BillyOh brand and sells more than 165,000 items online each year, including around one in every eight sheds sold in the UK.
The firm’s graduate programme is open to applicants from a wide range of degree backgrounds and universities, provided they’ve achieved a very strong academic record.
The selection process consists of a telephone interview, a cultural fit assessment, an intelligence assessment and finally a face to face interview.
The successful applicants are given comprehensive on the job training and assigned a director as a mentor.
There will be significant career progression opportunities after several three to six month rotations are completed around the business.
Christopher Palmer-Smith, Chief Operating Officer at Kybotech, said: “This is a hugely exciting opportunity for top graduates to join a comprehensive and rewarding employment training scheme.
“Our graduate programme is one of the very best opportunities for university leavers in our region so it’s little wonder we’ve received hundreds of applications already.
“Our standards are very high and we are seeking only the most outstanding people to join our business at what is a hugely exciting time for Kybotech.
“We have made significant investments into our manufacturing processes recently and this has resulted in a period of sustained growth for the company.
“We need more top talent to help us continue our success and our graduate programme is key to that. It offers talented graduates the opportunity to gain skills quickly and to rapidly advance their abilities and their earnings.
“We’re looking for super-intelligent university leavers with top degrees combined with genuine entrepreneurial spirit who want to join an award-winning high-growth company and rapidly rise through the ranks.”
