Pavegen closes £1.3m with over 1000 new investors with latest crowdfund campaign
Pavegen, the award-winning global cleantech pioneers, has today closed more than £1.3m in new funding as it closes its latest crowdfunding campaign.
In just six weeks, more than 1000 new investors have joined the likes of Tamar Capital, Hinduja Group and the Saudi Royal Family to “Step Up for Climate Change”. As part of the project, Pavegen technology was installed at 22 Bishopsgate, Old Spitalfields Market and the Wimbledon Tennis Championships; capturing more than 750k steps. These steps equate to 1.5m joules of clean energy, for which 3,000 new trees will be planted in the Amazon rainforest in Brazil, in partnership with reforestation company Evergreen, with an estimated carbon sequestration of over 2000 tonnes over the lifetime.
The funds raised will support Pavegen’s continued growth and capitalise on the global smart city market which is projected to be worth $4.76 trillion by 2030. As a leading market player in the sector, Pavegen leads a new cleantech category with patented technology, hybrid kinetic & solar power and AI engagement, creating a defensible global cleantech platform. It is now focused on accelerating the development of the Agentic AI platform to drive growth, unlocking new opportunities for large scale deployments across Giga projects in the Middle East and new urban developments in Asia and the USA.
Laurence Kemball-Cook, CEO and founder of Pavegen said of the campaign: “Pavegen is powered by people. And purpose. We are always excited and humbled by the success of crowdfunding as it brings to life just how our technology captures the imagination and inspires positive action and engagement on climate change. We appreciate the fact that despite a challenging financial environment, more than 1100 new investors have joined the Pavegen journey to help cities, brands and citizens to harness the insight from our platform to drive sustainability goals.
“We will now be redoubling our efforts to scale and innovate, with plans for an agentic AI platform as well as exciting pipeline opportunities in countries around the world.”
