On the morning of December 8th, the Phở Week in Europe 2025 officially kicked off, recording over 230 restaurants, eateries, and culinary businesses, registering to join hands in promoting phở and Vietnamese cuisine both on social media and at their business locations. They come from 21 European countries, Japan, and Vietnam. This marks the first time a Vietnamese culinary promotion campaign has achieved such widespread scale across the continent.

Strong Outreach, Creating Community Appeal

Right from the first days of the first announcement in November 2025, the list of participating units was continuously and publicly updated by country, generating widespread interest within the Vietnamese community in Europe.

In many countries, the Vietnamese community, associations, and individuals who love phở actively shared information and called on local restaurants to participate, thus helping the event quickly reach an unprecedented scale.

The Initiative of We Love Phở – Boosting the Promotion of Vietnamese Culture

Phở Week in Europe is the initiative of We Love Phở – a non-profit association established in Brussels in 2025, with the goal of promoting phở as a symbol of Vietnamese culinary culture in Europe. The program is also an activity responding to the annual Phở Day on December 12th.

Unlike traditional festivals concentrated in one location, Phở Week is organized under a decentralized model. Activities do not take place on a fixed stage or square but simultaneously at the business premises of the participating units. Each restaurant and business will independently design promotional activities suitable for its conditions and unique style, creating diversity and flexibility for the program.

Notably, a website has been developed to provide information about Phở Week in Europe 2025. On this website, phở lovers can:

Download rich resources about phở.
Learn more about phở through the publication “Phở – Vietnamese Cultural Identity” in many different European languages.

Phở Week has received attention and support from many Vietnamese diplomatic agencies in Europe; the companionship of media organizations and community associations; and the enthusiastic response from a large number of restaurants, businesses, and individuals who love phở.

Vietnamese representative agencies in many countries have actively shared information and connected with the local community, contributing to enhancing communication effectiveness and expanding the event’s influence.

The participating groups are expected to implement many diverse activities:

1/ Restaurants, Eateries, Culinary Businesses
