PrimaryBid appoint James Deal as Chief Operating Officer

PrimaryBid, the award-winning FCA-regulated online platform connecting publicly listed companies with everyday investors for new share issuances, is pleased to announce the appointment of James Deal as Chief Operating Officer.

James has joined PrimaryBid from global investment bank JP Morgan Cazenove. James joined JP Morgan Cazenove in 2006 where he managed the UK mid-cap equities desk before moving to the UK investment banking team in 2016. Prior to this, James worked at Numis Securities and Dresdner Kleinwort Benson in equity sales.

James’ appointment follows PrimaryBid’s recent £7 million funding round, which was corner-stoned by highly respected VC investors, Pentech and Outward VC.

Anand Sambasivan, Cofounder and CEO of PrimaryBid, commented:

“James has been at the forefront of UK and European mid-cap equity markets for the past 20 years and I am delighted to welcome him to PrimaryBid at this exciting next chapter in our growth.

James has built a strong following with both FTSE and AIM issuers as well as the buy-side community. His experience running leading UK capital markets teams and understanding of the vital role private investors can play will be hugely beneficial to us and I am looking forward to working with him.”

James Deal, incoming Chief Operating Officer at PrimaryBid, commented:

“I have long believed that there needs to be a greater role for private investors within equity markets, which will be of huge benefit to equity issuers. I look forward to working with Anand and the rest of the PrimaryBid team as we expand this unique product to the wider UK and European markets.”
