“QUEEN WILL LOOK DOWN WITH PRIDE AT THE JOB HER SON HE IS DOING”
KING Charles has a “kind, caring and compassionate” side and deeply cares about people, his former butler has revealed.
Grant Harrold spoke out following reports that the King was giving his staff a bonus to help them through the cost-of-living crisis.
Speaking exclusively to GB News Breakfast, Mr Harrold said: “I wasn’t surprised at this. A few years ago, I remember one of his tenants, or a few of them, were going through difficult times, and I remember them actually saying that he had given them so much money to kind of help them get by.
“So he has done this kind of thing. People maybe don’t see that. What they don’t see behind the scenes, is that he has this very caring and compassionate side. He worries about people, he cares about people. And when and where he can, he does things like that. So I wasn’t I wasn’t hugely surprised at this news. But obviously, it’s great to hear it because it shows that in this difficult time somebody like him is doing something to help his team.
“Once again, it shows that side to the Royal family that sometimes you don’t hear about. I remember seeing that kind of compassionate side with both of them (Charles and Camilla) over the years. They would do things for me that you wouldn’t expect somebody like that to do.”
Reflecting on watching Charles lead today’s Remembrance Service he added in his interview with Stephen Dixon and Anne Diamond: “It’s wonderful to see him stepping up now taking this role on. But I think we’ll all agree that some of us still remember the Queen standing there.
“I think today, you know, a lot of people are going to be watching him remembering his mother. And I’m sure she’s somewhere looking down, very proud of the fact that he’s picked up where she left off, and carried on. It’s quite a difficult day for him as well because he’s aware of how this is a really important day to many millions of us.”
