Freda Period Products Launch In Malmaison, Hotel du Vin and Frasers Hospitality Serviced Apartments

Malmaison and Hotel du Vin, along with sister Frasers Hospitality UK brands, Fraser Suites and Fraser Place are proud to partner with Freda to provide free in-room period products to their guests and within staff toilets.

This initiative makes Malmaison, Hotel du Vin and Frasers Hospitality the first nationwide accommodation providers in the UK to provide free period products to guests in addition to their existing in-room amenities, without guests having to ask for them, ensuring they feel confident travelling at any time of the month.

Freda’s products are now accessible in guest rooms across the 17 Malmaison, 19 Hotel du Vin, and 6 Frasers Hospitality properties within the UK.

The complimentary Freda kits will contain a pad and tampon to sit alongside the brand’s other amenities including premium brand refillable toiletries which are re-stocked after each stay. This initiative ensures that essential period care products are there when guests need them the most.

Tracy Gent, Group Director of Sales & Marketing for Malmaison & Hotel du Vin says: “We’re working with Freda to help change the way the hospitality sector looks at supporting its guests and colleagues with their periods.”

“We are proud to be the first national hotel chain that has taken this step. Period products are an everyday necessity, so offering access to them without barrier seemed only natural to us to ensure we’re providing a truly customer-focused experience. By having Freda’s products front and centre in our guest bathrooms, and made available to staff, we’re doing our bit to help break down those taboos. This initiative will also further elevate our Greener Guest policies thanks to Freda’s own sustainable credentials.”

Guus Bakker, CEO EMEA at Frasers Hospitality says: “Offering Freda’s sustainable period products as a standard amenity across our hotel residences; Capri by Fraser and serviced apartments; Fraser Suites, Fraser Residence and Fraser Place, is a bold step forward by Frasers Hospitality to ensure everyone feels looked after during their stay.”

“Frasers Hospitality are proud to partner with Freda as their sustainable practices align perfectly with our own drive towards achieving net zero operations by 2050, part of which is ensuring that our guest experiences are as green as possible,” adds Bakker.

The Freda brand is dedicated to normalising periods, combating period poverty, and championing period inclusivity in a sustainable and responsible manner.

Freda’s period care products are responsibly made in eco-certified facilities in Sweden using 100% renewable energy with zero waste sent to landfill. Freda also donates a portion of its profits to initiatives dedicated to ending period poverty.

Freda’s founder Afsaneh Parvizi-Wayne adds: “We’re pleased to partner with Malmaison, Hotel du Vin and Frasers Hospitality to elevate their sustainable amenity offering. We understand that periods are notoriously bad timekeepers, so guests won’t always arrive prepared. Through this partnership we’ll ensure that nobody is caught short or suffers anxiety or embarrassment around menstruating while staying with Malmaison, Hotel du Vin, and Frasers Hospitality properties.”
