REFORM UK BLASTS LABOUR FOR ‘FULL-ON SURRENDER’ TO EU

REFORM UK deputy leader Richard Tice has slammed the government for a “full-on surrender” to the EU.

He told GB News: “I’m expecting a pretty much full-on surrender, frankly, on the three big critical issues.

“It looks like they’re going to surrender on reintroducing freedom of movement that they rebadge youth mobility. That all sounds very nice and cuddly but in reality, if it’s 18 to 30 or 35-year-olds, that was the bulk of the freedom of movement that the British people voted against in 2016 and then just a few weeks ago, expressed a clear view against mass immigration by voting in huge numbers for Reform UK.

“Last week, the Prime Minister said he was going to reduce immigration – not if you surrender to more freedom of movement.

“The second big surrender is on becoming a rule-taker under what they call dynamic alignment, that we would have to accept all of the EU regulations. We don’t want that. We actually want to reduce the regulations. We want to be able to reduce the cost of business, to reduce the cost of living. That would be complete foolishness.

“And then the third surrender is on the very important issue to my constituents in Boston, Skegness, of fishing. We want to get back proper control of our fishing waters.

“The Tories did a pretty average deal a few years ago, but it seems that Keir Starmer is just happy to sacrifice that on the altar of trying to cozy up to the bungling bureaucrats in Brussels.”

He added: “This is a Prime Minister, of course, who basically wants to get us back into the EU through the back door. That’s what this is all about, cozying up, chummy, chummy, freedom of movement, taking their rules and regulations.

“Let’s just remember to all of those who say what’s wrong with their rules and regulations, I’ll tell you what’s wrong. Germany is in recession. Most of the EU is in recession or flatlining. We’re struggling, but we’re doing a bit better. Why would you want to handcuff yourself and tie yourself closer to a failing economic model that’s making people poorer.?

“We need to break away from the shackles of the EU. We need to make sure that Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom and not tied into EU rules and regulations. We need to break away from net stupid zero, all the daft carbon taxes and levy levies, all of this stuff, to give ourselves the opportunity to grow again.

“I don’t think that there’s much common sense within the Prime Minister. His political agenda, as a lawyer who loves the international stage, is to cozy up to the EU. He wanted a second referendum. Of course, he wanted more immigration freedom and movement. He loves all this stuff.

“He doesn’t understand why people in the industrial heartlands of the United Kingdom, just a couple of weeks ago, gave a massive boot in the backside to the Labour Party and voted for Reform in huge numbers, including in the 16th safest Labour parliamentary seat.

“He’s clearly not listening and learning. He’s clearly waffling when he says he wants to reduce immigration and I think the British people need to be very, very concerned about this surrender.”
