Reform’s Richard Tice calls for Ed Miliband to resign over Israel sanctions

Reform UK deputy leader Richard Tice has called for Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband to resign following the controversy surrounding his announcement about the imposition of sanctions on Israel.

On Andy Burnham’s view on national security, Tice told GB News: “He essentially surrendered. He essentially said that mild anxiety and social security paying for mild anxiety is more important than the defence of our realm, and so essentially, he’s not prepared to do what’s necessary to keep British citizens safe.

“And of course, yesterday we had the we had the Foreign Secretary actually was on Tuesday betraying British Jews, making them less safe on British streets, and now we have today the terrorist Hamas praising Ed Miliband.

“He’s now their puppet in the United Kingdom, and what an absolute disgrace! I’ve just put out an X post. Miliband should resign on this. It’s absolutely shameful.”

He added: “You know you’ve got it wrong when a terrorist group that murdered some 1,300 Jews are congratulating you and saying he could go further.”

Asked for his response to comments from the General Secretary of the TUC about an early general election and being prepared to work with a Reform government, he said: “We’ll be ready, but we’re cracking on getting ready now for the May elections.

“Whenever Andy Burnham calls an election, we’ve been asking him to forever, we’ll be ready, and our plan is to win it.

“And then, based on his discussion there, we look forward to negotiating with and working with unions, and in fairness, he accepts and understands that we’re already working on councils. We’re running 30, 32, 33 councils, and so yeah, of course there are discussions with unions.

“What he forgot to mention was that many of his union members are voting Reform. In fact, I’ve been contacted by very senior union representatives saying we need to talk to you because our members are voting Reform.”
