REVEALED: Big Ben is world’s THIRD most COMPLAINED about attraction!
New data by Uswitch discovered the most complained about attractions online across the globe.
The consumer switching service analysed 26,904 negative reviews of famous tourist attractions worldwide, to uncover which was complained about the most, as well as the names of the worst male and female complainers and also revealed just how much time is spent complaining about these attractions online.
Eiffel Tower is the MOST complained about attraction worldwide
Big Ben ranked as the third most complained about tourist attraction worldwide, beaten only by the Colosseum in Rome and the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
According to Reviewtracker.com consumers are 21% more likely to leave a review after a negative experience than a positive one, and when it came to the world’s most popular tourist attractions this was no different.
The TripAdvisor reviews for the most popular tourist attractions were analysed, picking out those reviewed ‘poor/terrible’ which was then collated with the average length of the review and the average typing speed of a reviewer.

People spent 402 hours writing about their bad experiences at the Eiffel Tower, equating to 17.5 days worth of negativity just on one very iconic attraction.
Although no other attraction came close to this, Rome’s historic Colosseum racked up an impressive 41 hours or 1.7 days of negative review writing online with London’s Big Ben taking up 33 hours or 1.3 days of time.
