20-year-old Dallas by way of St.Louis emerging rapper and producer, ian returns today with his long-awaited third mixtape, 2005 – out now via BuVision/Columbia Records. Listen to 2005 HERE. The release follows a characteristically offbeat announcement last week that had fans in a frenzy: ian, decked out in denim and a cowboy hat, teased a tongue-in-cheek country parody before “waking up” from the nightmare to reveal the real news: tape 3 was coming.

To accompany the mixtape, ian also releases today the video for standout track “You Told Me.” Presented by Lyrical Lemonade, and directed by AMD the visual starts in a studio with frenetic scenes and transitions to ian and a day in the life through the streets of Paris, showing him at a fitting, at a runway show and shopping.

On 2005, ian once again showcases the charm, wit, and boundary-pushing energy that has made him one of rap’s most unpredictable rising stars. The project spans moods and sounds, from the nostalgic opener “Go ian” to the previously released fan favorite “I Ain’t Comin Back.”

The mixtape lands ahead of ian’s Gap Year Tour, which kicks off this November across the UK and Europe, marking the first time fans overseas will get to experience his new music live.
ian was also just announced as the cover for King Kong Magazine Issue 20 alongside Bhad Bhabie.

Earlier this year, ian’s XXL Freshman Freestyle sparked viral acclaim, earning praise from fans and critics alike and even being named The New York Times “Song of the Week.” His breakout moment was followed by a crowd-roaring set at Lollapalooza, where fans screamed back every word, further cementing his status as a generational voice with limitless potential.

With the arrival of 2005 and his forthcoming tour, ian proves his momentum is only building – reminding fans why he’s one of the most exciting, self-aware, and unpredictable artists shaping the next wave of rap.
