Say hello to your new favourite ice cream flavour. Santa Nata is launching the UK’s first Pastel De Nata flavoured ice cream this July and will celebrate International Ice Cream Day on Sunday 19 July with 2-4-1 for all*.
This UK first offers delicious Pastel De Nata custard-like ice cream layered with creamy vanilla ice cream, Pastel de Nata pastry flakes and cinnamon.
Founded by Francisco Oliviera in 2019, Santa Nata bakeries celebrate Portugal’s most famed tart – the Pastel de Nata. Francisco wanted to bring a taste of Lisbon to the UK. Unable to find an authentic Pastel de Nata anywhere in London, he decided to make his own. Made on site in small batches throughout the day, each tart honours the original recipe – a secret Francisco will never share.
Originally created in a monastery in Lisbon over 300 years ago, the iconic Pastel De Nata pastries have become a staple sweet treat, with Santa Nata bringing the authentic experience to the UK with its six locations (Borough, Battersea, Covent Garden New Row, Covent Garden Piazza, Spitalfields and Oxford).
Now customers can enjoy their favourite Portuguese tart flavours, deconstructed and in ice cream form!
Pick up your Santa Nata soft serve daily from Santa Nata bakeries in Battersea, Covent Garden Piazza and Cornmarket Street, Oxford – and grab the International Ice Cream 2-4-1 offer on Sunday 19th July.
