SOON-TO-BE FAMILY OF FOUR FIND ROOM TO GROW IN SUFFOLK COMMUNITY

Katie Wright (27) and Daniel Smailes (28), recently moved into their second home at the Great Hall Drive community as they sought more space with their 18-month-old son, Louis, with another little one on the way towards the end of the year.

The couple, a Medical Receptionist for the NHS and a Commercial Director, both grew up in Bury St Edmunds and also have family on the development; something which contributed to their decision to find a forever home at Marham Park.

Katie said: “We were looking to upsize from our previous properly. The main reasons for moving were so we had a garage for extra storage, a bigger garden and a separate utility room.

“We loved the layout of the property with a really spacious living room and large kitchen and diner, as well as a study that we have converted into a playroom for the little one.

“The local area is great. There are lots of playgrounds for the kids and a pub just down the road that has recently been renovated. It’s a friendly community and we have family living on the development too so it’s nice to be within walking distance.”

Katie and Daniel purchased a four bedroom detached Holden style home, which gave them the extra space they needed for a family of three, plus their cat, Neptune.

Adjacent to a 35-acre country park, the development is ideal for growing families because of the vast about of green, open space accessible on the doorstep.

Katie added: “We like living in new build houses. We wanted a four bedroom home so there’s enough space for family or friends to come and stay.

“We liked the Holden, it had everything that we were looking for.”

Marham Park has fast become a sought-after community, especially due to the rising demand for access to open space as a result of the pandemic.

According to a survey by Savills, 31% of respondents had a park or open space at the top of their wish lists prior to COVID-19. This had risen to 57% in March 2021, and then dropped slightly to 42% in September.

Annette Hurst, Sales Director at David Wilson Homes Eastern Counties, said: “For families looking to upsize, Marham Park is the perfect solution as we have a range of larger properties available to reserve and there’s the benefit of the 35-acre country park adjacent to the development.

“We’re delighted that Katie, Daniel and Louis have grown to love Marham Park enough to not only buy one property here, but later go on to purchase a second. We’d encourage anyone looking to follow in their footsteps to book an appointment with our Sales Advisers.”

There is currently one home remaining at the development, priced at £469,995.
