Spider Phobia Workshop Could ‘Cure’ Millions
For the estimated 12 million UK adults who suffer from a fear of spiders, the threat of the first snow bringing thousands of venomous false widow spiders into homes represents something more serious than a shiver up the spine. While many may not like the thought of a spider crawling up their arm, for those with arachnophobia this thought alone can cause reactions from mild anxiety to full panic attacks.
Arachnophobia is one of the most popular phobias, however, it’s also not evenly split, with 55% of women and 18% of men experiencing a feat of spiders to some extent.
There is help on hand as The Spider Courage Experience has a 4-hour course hosted in London or Chessington World of Adventures. The arachnophobes arrive with a fear of spiders and leave with the fear either disappeared or massively reduced to the extent that they can hold a live tarantula.
Run by founder and spider educator Britain Stelly and Harley Street hypnotherapist Adam Cox, The Spider Courage Experience takes place from 1pm to 5pm on selected Saturdays and offer a range of different therapeutic techniques such as, NLP, CBT, hypnotherapy and education, which gives participants tools to build confidence in all areas of life beyond just the fear of spiders.
