Steam Dreams Rail. Co is on the Green List

Those looking to avoid travel restrictions, make the most of their summer holidays and enjoy something a little different can join Steam Dreams Rail Co’s exceptional day trip to Oxford or Stratford-upon-Avon this Sunday, 22 August 2021.

Departing London Paddington at approximately 0945, hauled by steam locomotive B1 Mayflower to Oxford, guests can disembark to join an excursion to Blenheim Palace or continue the route to Stratford-upon-Avon, William Shakespeare’s 16th century birthplace. The train will arrive back at London Paddington at 2115. Visitors can also join the day trip to Oxford or Stratford-upon-Avon from Slough, Reading and Warwick railway stations.

Those wishing to disembark at Oxford can reserve their place on a coach to and from Blenheim Palace. Entry can also be reserved to the palace where the Food Festival will be taking place in the Great Court. The festival will feature over 160 stalls offering artisan, homemade and unique produce. Celebrity chefs on the day include legendary Italian chef and cookbook author, Gennaro Contaldo, and Wholefood Warrior Eva Humphries. Click here for further information on the festival.

Guests continuing to Stratford-upon-Avon, can enjoy a leisurely afternoon exploring visitors can spend time in the museum that illustrates Shakespeare’s life, stroll along the River Avon and visit the Holy Trinity Church where Shakespeare is buried.

Pullman Style Dining and Premier Dining passengers travelling to Stratford-upon-Avon will be served a three-course meal on the return journey. Pullman Style Dining and Premier Dining passengers travelling to Oxford will be served a two-course meal on the return journey.

Prices start from £109 per person in Premium Standard, £229 per person in Premier Dining or £284 per person in Pullman Style Dining.
