Taylor Wimpey donates life saving defibrillator to Stourbridge Football Club
Taylor Wimpey Midlands is pleased to have donated a public access defibrillator (PAD) to Stourbridge Football Club in Amblecote, which aims to benefit the community and surrounding local area.
As part of a nationwide initiative in collaboration with the British Heart Foundation (BHF), Taylor Wimpey is donating potentially life-saving PADs to communities across the UK to assist individuals who experience out-of-hospital cardiac arrests.
Since 2019, the BHF has partnered with Taylor Wimpey to provide CPR training to its employees and equip every one of its building sites in the UK with a defibrillator. In line with the company’s goal of leaving a lasting positive impact on the areas in which it builds, Taylor Wimpey is donating the defibrillators to local communities once developments are completed.
Taylor Wimpey worked closely with Stourbridge FC to ensure the defibrillator is placed in a central and easily accessible location at the football club. The club has become the new home for the device, and the team there will oversee its use and maintenance to ensure it remains available for anyone who may need it.
Matthew Kendall, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Midlands, said: “Supporting the communities we build in is a core value for us. Our collaboration with the British Heart Foundation ensures more defibrillators are available to help in emergencies, and we are pleased to be part of making this essential equipment accessible at Stourbridge FC.”
Jason Connon, Operations Manager of Stourbridge Football Club, said: “As a football club, the safety and well-being of our players, staff, and supporters is a top priority. Cardiac arrests can happen anywhere, even during sporting events, so having a defibrillator on-site is vital. This generous donation from Taylor Wimpey not only benefits our club but also provides a crucial resource for the wider community. We’re proud to play a part in making our facilities safer for everyone.”
