From McDonalds to Krispy Kreme, which Northern cities have the best drive-through offerings?

A brand new study by Select Car Leasing reveals just this. Utilising Google data, the team have uncovered where the Northern drive-through capitals are.

Sheffield – 7.8/10
Leeds – 5.6/10
Manchester – 2.2/10
Liverpool – 1.1/10

Crowned as the best city in the North of England for drive-throughs is Sheffield, with a total score of 7.8 out of 10.

Taking first spot is in the Steel City is McDonald’s (Archer Road Millhouses, S8 0JT) scoring 32.9/50, whilst McDonald’s (Granville St, S2 2TP) came in second at 32.1/50 and McDonald’s (Meadowhall Centre S9 1EP) took third with 31.7/50.

The bustling city of Leeds secures its spot in second place as one of the best Northern England cities for its drive-throughs, scoring 5.6 out of 10.

The fast food giant McDonald’s (​​Off Hoxton Mount, Elland Rd, LS11 8BU) secured the top spot with 31.5/50, whilst another branch of McDonald’s (Cardigan Fields Leisure Park, LS4 2DG) took second place with a score of 31/50. But if you’re fancying something a bit different like a Philly cheesesteak or loaded fries, stop by Big Phillie’s (Cross Green Ln, LS9 8LJ) that was rated the third best drive-through with a score of 29.3/50.

When it comes to the worst drive-through cities of the North, Manchester only scores a shocking 2.2/10 – with McDonald’s (Walter St, M9 4DH) earning an unappetising score of 12.9 out of 50.

Following on for this, Liverpool is named the worst drive-through city of the North, with an equally unappealing score of 1.1 out of 10.
