The curios tale of disgraced Peterborough MP Fiona Onasanya
The MP for Peterborough is a disgrace.
Fiona Onasanya was convicted of perverting the course of justice after she lied to police to avoid a speeding charge.
Amazingly, the Labour Party has taken action against her. She was expelled from the party and now sits as an independent MP… (If only she’d said something anti-Semitic, eh? She’d probably still have the party whip).
But she is refusing to step down completely. Instead, she has decided to take a stand, writing a letter to other MPs saying she’ll continue to fight this “injustice” — she’s even compared herself to Jesus!
And, in the last few days, a video of Onasanya was released showing her pretending to snort cocaine. Is this really the kind of person we want in Parliament?
