An annual conference, bringing together professionals and industry leaders to explore the pressing issues in beauty, aesthetics, and environmental health takes place next week.

The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) Beauty and Aesthetics Conference will feature keynote discussions on the Government’s proposed England-wide licensing scheme for non-surgical cosmetic procedures, offering attendees an exclusive update on the future of regulation in this fast-evolving sector.

The session will be led by speakers Professor David Sines CBE, Chair of the Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP) and Victor Ktorakis, Senior Environmental Health Officer at Enfield Council and CIEH Health and Safety Panel member.

Delegates will also gain insights into the qualification framework in the beauty industry, with expert analysis on current standards and future developments from Victoria Brownlie MBE, Chief Policy and Sustainability Officer at the British Beauty Council.

Other highlights during the event include a session on Dermal Filler Regulation and practical application of this for Environmental Health Officers delivered by Lucy Spain, Benefit Risk Evaluation Assessor at the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).

Nikki Pearson, Head of Events and Membership Engagement at CIEH, said:

“We’re thrilled to welcome delegates to this year’s CIEH Beauty and Aesthetics Conference, where we’ll be tackling some of the most important issues facing the industry and the work of environmental health professionals working in this area.

“With a packed programme of expert speakers, this event offers a unique opportunity to stay informed and understand what is on the horizon in beauty and aesthetic regulation. Whatever your role, we encourage you to join us for what promises to be an insightful and inspiring day.”
