The Jaded Hearts Club will release new live album in March 2021

The all-star collective The Jaded Hearts Club specialise in putting their ragged garage-rock spin on a catalogue of forgotten classics and all-time favourites, as evidenced on their debut album ‘You’ve Always Been Here’. Now the band – consisting of Miles Kane (The Last Shadow Puppets), Nic Cester (Jet), Graham Coxon (Blur), Jamie Davis, Matt Bellamy (Muse) and Sean Payne (The Zutons) – are set to release ‘Live At The 100 Club’ on March 26th via Helium-3/ Infectious Music/ BMG.

The album is today launched with its lead single, their take on Them’s 1964 classic ‘Gloria’. The album’s opening song immediately sets the tone for the set that follows. The Jaded Hearts Club rampage through the song with the frenetic take-no-prisoners style of The Beatles destroying The Cavern Club, while the punk-meet-soul attack of Nic Cester’s vocals offers something a little different to Van Morrison’s timeless original.

The Jaded Hearts Club follow ‘Gloria’ by racing straight into The Sonics’ ‘Have Love Will Travel’ and The Who’s ‘My Generation’. After a mid-set of Beatles songs, including relatively deep cuts ‘Hey Bulldog’ and ‘Back In The USSR’, they end with a killer double-header of The Rolling Stones’ ‘Paint It Black’ and The Beatles’ ‘Helter Skelter’. The band are joined on select songs by The Zutons’ saxophonist Abi Harding.

‘Live At The 100 Club’ was recorded at the band’s first London show. Organised in memory of guitarist Jamie Davis’s late father, the gig sold-out immediately. The album will be released on digital formats and is available to pre-order and pre-save HERE. It follows a previously released limited edition vinyl pressing of the album. All proceeds from both the show and the vinyl edition were donated to the Shooting Star Children’s Hospices.

Jamie Davis and Matt Bellamy started the process of working on the band’s debut album, with Bellamy producing at Red Room Studios in Los Angeles. The band decided to focus primarily on recording lost classics from the world of Northern Soul, supplemented by their raw, soulful takes on some famous standards from the era. The duo shifted through 3000 songs as they researched what material they should record. The result was ‘You’ve Always Been Here’.

The Jaded Hearts Club are continuing to crate dig for songs to include on their second studio album.
