The Other Art Fair introduce its first U.S. Virtual Edition Fair

The Other Art Fair, a leading artist fair for discovering emerging artists, will introduce its first U.S. Virtual Edition Fair, The Other Art Fair Los Angeles on March 30-April 4. This Los Angeles edition of The Other Art Fair’s virtual reality fair series will feature more than 100 local and international emerging artists within a three-dimensional fair environment, supported by a robust program of interactive features that celebrates the Los Angeles art community.

This six-day, virtual reality art fair will also serve as the debut of The Other Art Fair’s New Futures award, an initiative developed to champion the works of up-and-coming and underrepresented artists from the local art community. The New Futures artists are hand-chosen by a Selection Committee comprised of experts working in art institutions across the globe. Each edition of The Other Art Fair will showcase different New Futures artists local to the city’s art scene, who will each present their work at one virtual and one in-person The Other Art Fair event in 2021. The New Futures artists will also receive one-on-one mentorship from The Other Art Fair’s Fair Director and Marketing Director, while also being paired with a seasoned Fair exhibitor who has volunteered for peer-to-peer mentorship. The New Futures winners for the Los Angeles edition of The Other Art Fair are Jessica Carranza and Ricardo Cobian, both Los Angeles-based artists.

“Following the success of our Global Virtual Edition, we are thrilled to present innovative features to our fair visitors and showcase the incredible talents of emerging artists both locally and internationally,” said Ryan Stanier, founder of The Other Art Fair. “I am especially proud of our New Futures program, as this will be an opportunity for us to help support and launch the careers of underrepresented artists at the beginning of their careers, many of whom are struggling to break into the art world. This initiative is another way we can support the local art communities where our fairs take place.” – Ryan Stanier, Founder of The Other Art Fair.
