The RAJA Group announces chosen charities for its Women & The Environment Action Programme

Since 2006, the RAJA-Danièle Marcovici Foundation has worked to improve the lives of women around the world, funding more than 494 projects and benefitting over 100,000 lives. With the RAJA Group’s continued commitment to empowering women and working towards greater sustainability, their Women & The Environment Action Programme combines both causes in order to push for permanent change. The Programme is entering its fifth year.

The Foundation has now announced the six charities it will be raising funds for across 2020, all of which are sustainable community projects that improve the living conditions of women around the world. These charities are ADESAF (The Association for Economic and Social Development in Africa) in Cameroon; AVSF (The Agronomists and Veterinarians Without Borders) in Mongolia; ESSOR in Congo; FNAB (The National Federation of Organic Agriculture in France; The Ishpingo Foundation in Ecuador and Re-Belle in France.

The RAJA Group has worked with suppliers to select a range of eco-responsible products for this project. Every time a pack of these items is purchased until 31st August 2020, the Group will ensure £1 is automatically donated to the RAJA-Danièle Marcovici Foundation and will be split between its chosen charities.

Through these actions, The RAJA Group aims to provide two main areas of benefit; firstly, it will raise the necessary funds needed to enable economic empowerment for women through the teaching, training and development of sustainability skills within their communities. Secondly, it will bring further attention to the Group’s alternative eco-solutions such as recycled, bio-degradable and reusable packaging, all built with a greener future in mind.

The product range includes a wide variety of packaging items, all recyclable or sustainably sourced, including flat postal boxes, manilla envelopes, brown and white Kraft paper carrier bags, tissue paper reams, pure Kraft paper rolls, Easifold corrugated storage bins, recycled archive box, industrial hand wipes and A4 and A3 multi-purpose paper.
