THIS IS JUST THE VEGAN-NING: CLEAN KITCHEN CLUB LAUNCH NEW HAPPY PLANET MEALS

London’s hottest plant-based eatery, Clean Kitchen Club, founded by Made in Chelsea star Verity Bowditch and former Youtuber, Mikey Pearce, is taking its commitment to sustainable dining one stage further. The restaurant has launched its very own carbon neutral, Happy Planet Meals– the plant-based take on the infamous fast-food meal box.

Leading the way where other fast-food chains have struggled, the chain is putting the planet first and have made its Happy Planet Meal completely carbon neutral, which is an exciting first for the restaurant, as they aim to normalise plant-based food and get foodies across the UK to live and eat more sustainably – after all, there is no planet B!

Priced at £8 in-store and £10 on Deliveroo, The Happy Planet Meals are the future of fast-food, filled with Clean Kitchen’s signature plant-based Chickn nuggets and fries, making it the perfect option for an indulgent but guilt-free lunch.

Partnering with My Emissions to calculate the carbon footprint of each Happy Planet Meal, and Ecologi to offset these surplus emissions, Clean Kitchen have made it easier than ever to enjoy fast-food favourites with a clean conscience and lower carbon footprint.

Verity Bowditch, Co-Founder and Head of Sustainability at Clean Kitchen Club, commented: “When starting Clean Kitchen, it was so important to me that sustainability was at the heart of everything we do. We have a real chance to change the way people view plant-based food and help tackle the climate crisis, which is why we are delighted with the Happy Planet Meal. The idea came from making plant-based food as ‘normal’ as possible, and encourage those who have never tried vegan food before to give it a go. There’s a clear demand for delicious, sustainable alternatives in the fast-food industry and erasing the carbon footprint from our Happy Planet Meal really will make a meaningful difference.”

Happy Planet Meals are available now to pick up from Clean Kitchen Camden, or order on from one of the many delivery kitchens for £8 in-store and £10 on Deliveroo now.
