Trump’s ‘number one objective’ is to stop war in Ukraine, says his senior counterterrorism adviser
PRESIDENT Trump’s “number on objective” is to end the war in Ukraine, his senior counterterrorism adviser Seb Gorka has told GB News.
Speaking to Bev Turner on The Late Show Live, he said: “He said he thought this would be the easiest of all the peace settlements he had to bring to fruition. It has not turned out to be the easiest.
“He’s put eight on the table already, absolutely stunning for less than a year in office. So, eight wars brought to a standstill thanks to the President. However, you heard his words today, it looks like we are on the cusp, closer than we’ve ever been.
“Just the open-source reporting today of Kyiv’s reaction to the latest 28-point proposal looks very, very positive. So when you go to bed tonight, please say a prayer that this meat grinder that is the war in Ukraine will end imminently thanks to the good offices of President Trump and his incredible team, including envoy Steve Witkoff and Secretary Marco Rubio.”

Asked about people who argue there should be no compromise by Ukraine, he said: “It’s truly disappointing, as you say, a lot of very muscular rhetoric, even rabble rousing, incendiary rhetoric at times, from some of our European colleagues.
“And you have to ask yourself, at what cost and what are you going to do to back it up? It’s easy to throw peanuts from the gallery, but here we’re talking about the lives of young men. The President always brings up the thousands and thousands of young men whose lives are lost every single day in that war in the trenches.
“It’s easy, it’s cheap, it’s something that kind of belittles the President’s objective, which you have so rightly identified. His number one objective is to stop the bloodshed. Just stop it right now.
“And for those who have no responsibility, no skin in the game, who in some cases are buying Russian gas and Russian petroleum products, the level of hubris or double standards is a tad galling to say the least.”
Asked why European countries have not banned the Muslim Brotherhood as the US has done, Gorka said: “Well, it could simply be ignorance again. It could be lack of intestinal fortitude, or it could simply be political correctness run amok, the idea that if you speak truthfully about the Muslim Brotherhood, you are accused of being a racist, despite the fact that Islam is not a race, or simply you are beholden to those forces that wish to undermine Western civilisation.
“There are many, many reasons. I would say the primary one is no excuse. It is the lack of fortitude, the lack of courage to speak truthfully about the threats that our civilisation faces. Remember this is a truly civilisational threat of civilisation vice barbarism.
“Just look at October the seventh. Look at what Hamas, an ideological jihadi organisation, wrought against those innocent men, women and children. Go back in time to the UK to 7/7. Look at the London Bridge attack, and on and on.
“This is a them or us conflict between the West, the greatest civilisation the world has ever seen, and global jihadism. And now that we are back in the White House, we are calling it what it is, global jihadism.”
