Ex-mobster, international peace prize winner and TV personality; Stephen Gillen is due to wed GB News star and broadcast presenter; Nana Akua. They famously announced their engagement on live TV recently and will be married at a star-studded bash on the 6th July 2025.
Gillen is set to tie the knot next year and he’s kicking off the celebrations in style with a party that is set to be the hottest ticket in town.

Stephen Gillen’s own life journey has taken him from gangland enforcer to peace advocate and serial entrepreneur that exemplifies his profound personal transformation.
Born in England and raised in Belfast during the height of The Troubles, Gillen’s early years were marred by violence and instability. At nine, he relocated to London’s East End, where he entered the care system and soon became involved in organised crime. By 15, he was carrying firearms, and at 22, he was arrested for armed robbery, leading to a 17-year sentence, of which he served nearly 12 years in high-security prisons.
During his incarceration, Gillen experienced a significant transformation, influenced by mentorship from a former IRA member known as ‘The Gardener’. Upon his release in 2003, he became a successful entrepreneur, authoring the bestselling memoir Extraordinary: The Search for a Life Worth Living, which is being adapted into a major film.
