UK Americana Artist Jack Browning to Perform at Healing Appalachia 2025
Rising UK Americana artist Jack Browning is set to return to the United States this autumn for his biggest stateside appearance yet: a closing set at Healing Appalachia 2025, joining a stacked lineup featuring Tyler Childers, Chris Stapleton, Lukas Nelson, and more. The multi-day festival – which raises vital funds for addiction recovery in the Appalachian region – will take place in Ashland, Kentucky, at the Boyd County Fairgrounds.

Browning, a 27-year-old singer-songwriter and painter who grew up and currently resides in Essex, England, has built a reputation as one of the most exciting new voices in transatlantic roots music. Cutting his teeth on the circuit in Essex and London, he developed a gritty, road-worn sound that blends country, blues, folk, and rock with a distinctly British charm. His work has earned praise on both sides of the Atlantic, with Whiskey Riff calling him “a formidable songwriter”, and BBC Radio 2’s Whispering Bob Harris naming him a Featured Horizon Artist in April 2025.
The Healing Appalachia appearance caps off a breakthrough 18 months for Browning, following major US festival slots at Laurel Cove Music Festival and Little Sandy Shakedown, a standout second-stage performance at London’s Country2Country Festival (March 2025) alongside Lainey Wilson, Dierks Bentley, and Wyatt Flores, and a successful headline tour of the Netherlands in May 2025. His debut album Red Eye Radio (2023) earned acclaim for its raw, poetic take on life on the road, mental health, and working-class struggles.
This summer, Browning returns with his much-anticipated second album – a powerful exploration of fatherhood, fame, love, and loss, delivered in his signature blend of gritty Americana and heartfelt storytelling. Early singles have already received praise from Whispering Bob Harris, Whiskey Riff, Country Central, and Holler, with airplay across BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio Ulster.
“Getting to share a lineup with artists I’ve looked up to for years – and to do it at a festival that stands for something very close to my heart – is a huge honour,” says Browning. “I’ve spent the last few years chasing the songs that mean something to people. Healing Appalachia feels like the right place for them.”
In addition to his musical work, Browning is also an accomplished fine artist. During the same US trip, he will exhibit four new works at the prestigious Far West Show in Austin, TX, curated by western artist Mark Maggiori, and featuring renowned artists including Glenn Dean, Jeremy Lipking, and David Kassan. His visual art has been showcased across the US, including at the Taos Art Museum’s Summer Gala (2024 and 2025) and in his solo show at Texas’ Western Gallery (2025). In 2020, he also created the album artwork for The White Buffalo’s On The Widow’s Walk.
