Some sports brands, however, have dominated the market more than others and remain in a comfortable lead. You’ll undoubtedly have heard of some of them but here are some of the biggest sports brands in the world:

Nike

Known all around the world for its innovative footwear and the high-profile celebrities modelling them, Nike is the biggest sportswear conglomerate worldwide. With revenue approaching $45 billion, Nike sits on top of the global sportswear market and doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon.

Shoes are still the main product of Nike, but they’ve branched out into sports apparel, accessories, and equipment. Nike also sponsors football teams such as Liverpool FC, with players wearing their boots and shirts.

Adidas

Coming in second is Adidas, another sportswear giant in its own right, and the largest sportswear manufacturer in Europe. Easily recognisable by their famous three-stripe trademark, Adidas has a long history of producing sporting footwear since the 20th century with a revenue of around €21.92 billion.

Puma

Puma was founded by Rudolf Dassler, the brother of Adidas founder. Though still in the shadow of its more successful brother, Puma is renowned for both its casual and athletic sportswear that’s been modelled by celebrities such as Rihanna and Kylie Jenner.

Puma has also sponsored many high-level premier league teams, such as Chelsea, Manchester United F.C., and Paris Saint-Germain, and players such as Neymar Jr and Kingsley Coleman wearing their boots.

Under Armour

Under Armour is an American sportswear brand that is dedicated to keeping players and athletes comfortable during intense physical activity. Though mainly offering its shoe line,Under Armour also design a range of sportswear, toiletries, and casualwear.

Though smaller than other brands, this Baltimore-based sports brand is ambitious and rakes in some serious revenue that shows they mean business.

New Balance

Completing our list is another American multinational corporation that sells sports apparel and footwear to 120 countries across the globe. New Balance originated in Boston, Massachusetts, and began as an arch-support sole.
