Wembley Stadium welcomed the SME National Business Awards on Friday 1st December. Over 450 business people from across the UK joined together to celebrate their achievements over the past year. With a maximum of 14 companies in any one category going through to the finals it is a huge achievement to be recognised.

We are delighted to announce the Overall Winner as White Cross Vets, they showed outstanding performance in the Employer of the Year category. One judge said “A company that has a very sound staff relations policy over a number of outlets and is a model others could follow.”

White Cross Vets is a family-run veterinary company with 17 practices across the north and midlands. Celebrating 80 years of looking after pets in 2017, the practice is founded on four principles: quality, integrity, responsibility and growth, and prides itself on hiring and nurturing the best and happiest team possible.

Managing Director Tim Harrison from White Cross Vets said “Winning both the SME employer award and the overall business award is truly special. Gaining recognition for what we do is fantastic, and inspires us to keep pushing to be at the forefront of wellbeing not just in the veterinary profession, but in the whole of the UK. As a family run company, the wellbeing of our team members is so important, and winning an award like this reinforces the fact that investment in our team is the right way to go!”.
