Here is the tariffs comparison tool to help you save money on household bills
Current political landscape in UK evolves around red hot disputes over systematic and unjustified price hikes from six major energy suppliers. We still remember Npower and EDF rising their prices in February 2017. This was followed by a 7.8% price rise in March 2017 leaving over a million Scottish Power customers worse off by an average of £84 per year. The need for capping the prices was quickly recognised back then.
April introduced a further 6.9% price increase from SSE forcing its customers to pay extra £73 per year. The second in four months EDF’s price increase by 9% and a noble price freeze from British Gas (only until August 2017 which is now fast approaching), saw a massive avalanche of general dissatisfaction amongst independent regulators and the public.
A spokeswoman from Ofgem said:
‘If energy companies fail to properly engage with their customers, then the government and the regulator must step in.’
The political events of the last few days revealed the government taking a U-turn on energy prices cap promise, leaving 15 million households on the brink of energy poverty and extremely vulnerable ahead of Winter months.
What’s more, share prices and the profit margins from some of ‘The Big 6’ also rose from on average 3.7% in the 2015-16 financial year to 4% in 2016-17. It seems astounding that they can not work with the government to help bring down costs of living for the ever-struggling UK bill payer.
Based on the above home affairs, Home Logic recognised it is not always the profits alone that shape the future of a business, it is a simple need to support UK homeowners and renters.
In February 2017, Home Logic launched My Energy – a FREE online tool that finds, compares, and assists with the full suppliers’ switch. The site is easy to navigate and was developed with a customer and only customer in mind.
