Morrisons is launching a range of meat-free Christmas treats!
Morrisons is launching a range of meat-free Christmas treats to give vegan and vegetarian customers their festive fix.
In stores from today, the new range includes no-pigs in blankets, no-prawn tempura and no-duck spring rolls – designed to look and taste just like the real thing, meaning food envy over the dinner table will be a thing of the past this Christmas, with families now fighting over the new vegan offerings.
Morrisons foodmakers and chefs have been developing the recipes since January this year – spending hours on fine tuning their flavour, juiciness and crispness to make them as close to the meat alternatives as possible. Meaning after countless Christmas dinners with bland meat-free options, unadventurous meat substitutes and poorly cooked nut roasts, vegans and vegetarians can jump on the flavour train and enjoy a tasty Christmas dinner.
The meat-free options have been added to the range after Morrisons customers said they were missing adventurous and tasty dishes that were suitable for vegans – at keen prices. Both Morrisons No-Pigs in Blankets and the selection pack of No-Prawn Tempura and No-Duck Spring Rolls will set you back just £2.50 per pack of 10.
Tom Coldman, Buying Manager at Morrisons said: “They say if it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck… well not this year at Morrisons. We’ve listened to our customers who told us they want to see more choice through the festive season and look forward to seeing these vegan twists on plates up and down the country this year.”
Morrisons No-Pigs in Blankets and Vegan Oriental Style Selection are in stores now. Customers can find them in the chiller aisles.
