Travel guides for budding gemologists & jewellery fans launches in London
Following the successful launch of the first book in this unique new jewellery, gemstone and travel guide series, Buying Gemstones and Jewellery in Sri Lanka, three further pocket-sized books were unveiled at the Institute of Directors on Tuesday 22nd January.

Sixty people joined London-based professional photographer and gemmologist, Kim Rix, to mark the launch of the next three books in the comprehensive series. More than fifteen travel guides, due for release over the next three years, aimed at helping tourists better understand the unique gemstone and jewellery markets in their next holiday destination.
Kim Rix is due to travel to the USA in February to complete the research on a future book in the series, talked about the experience of combining her passions (gemstones, jewellery, photography and travel), which are hobbies for some people to enjoy in their free time, into a full-time and flourishing career.

Last year, all in the name of research, Kim travelled to India, Sri Lanka, and spent four weeks in the summer travelling solo around the Australian Outback, sleeping and driving in her campervan across more than 4,000km.
